ChatGPT performs several tasks, but the one we’re focusing on here is its admirable capability to produce text, like a human writer. ChatGPT can produce virtually any type of written content you can think of: blog posts and meta descriptions, course outlines, social media posts for any social media channel (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.), video scripts, ad copy, surveys & polls, product descriptions, newsletters, pitch emails, and the list goes on and on.
The more specific you are in your query, the better results you’ll get.

Let’s say you need help writing a blog post about trends in educational tools. Your input should be something like “Write a 2000-word blog post about trends in educational tools for K-12 education in 2023.”
Or maybe you need to create a marketing email to promote a product. Here is what we got when we asked ChatGPT to “Write an email announcing a 30% discount on time tracking software.”
And here’s what it came up with when we added some specifics: a casual tone and fewer than 150 words.
And it did even better on its second try (though in neither example did it manage to stick to the 150-word limit):
ChatGPT can be of massive help to course creators and marketers, especially when they feel uninspired. It can reduce the time you need to produce new content by helping you get unstuck or simply doing some “groundwork” you can build on later.
As you saw from our example, it gives you some good content ideas. They may not be perfect, but you can rework them – edit the text to make it sound more human and flowing and add some character to it, or pick the parts you love the most from ChatGPT’s suggestions and merge them into a new piece of content.
One of the biggest practical concerns when it comes to this tool is that you can’t blindly trust ChatGPT to give you 100% trustworthy information – even its creators state so on the landing page. You always need to check for accuracy when it introduces information you’re not already aware of.
